STRESS, ANXIETY, panic attacks and mood imbalances
Feeling anxious, depressed or out-of-sorts? You are not alone. The National Survey of Mental Health and Wellbeing estimated approximately 45% of Australian adults will suffer from a mental health disorder throughout their lifetime. With anxiety being the most prevalent, closely followed by depression and substance abuse.
And it is not only adults that are being affected. Almost 1 in 7 of children and adolescents aged 4–17 years were assessed as having mental health disorders in the previous 12 months. Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD) being the most common followed by anxiety and then depression.
When working with someone in regards to moods and mental health, It is essential to carefully identify underlying triggers for that individual. Taking time to comprehensively understand a person’s environment, genetic influences, lifestyle habits and nutritional status are key.
Using evidence-based treatment protocols, Naturopathy can be very effective in treating mood imbalances such as:
stress - both chronic and acute
anxiety
panic attacks
depression
grief and trauma-related symptoms
ADHD
Addictions
One of the areas I find the most rewarding is helping people find their inner happiness and vibrancy again. It can be difficult for someone to do this on their own, especially if they are going through a bit of a tough time or have had a traumatic experience. By taking the time to understand key factors underlying a person’s symptoms, it enables me to tailor effective nutritional and herbal support. Ultimately my goal is to provide immediate support to help ease some of the pressures that might be falling on that person’s shoulders, with the long-term aim of correcting any imbalances and restoring their inner vitality and strength.
